I led four primary schools over 19 years, so I understand how challenging it can be to drive improvement when you’re new to a role or managing significant change. I draw on that direct school leadership experience and up-to-date inspection knowledge to support you and help you present your school confidently and accurately.

I do not offer fixed packages; instead I take time to understand your school and its specific needs, then we agree a bespoke support plan together. A few possible approaches are listed below. My rates are fair and transparent, with discounts available for small schools and for remote work where appropriate.

Initial Meeting

Remote Work

We can work remotely, reviewing and evaluating your school’s website, IDSR, SIP, SEF and whatever ever else you’d feel would be useful, to build up an ‘outsiders’-eye view of your school, in preparation for in-school work together.

In School Work

I will help you plan school improvement: meet leaders, staff, and children and pupils; observe lessons and check work; train and support staff—doing whatever the school needs so every pupil gets a high-quality education.

In-school work, meetings with subject leaders, governors, pupils and children. Work scrutiny, book looks, lesson visits.

External Reviews of Governance

Following discussions with the head teacher, I will meet the chair of Governors (or equivalent), review minutes and other documentation, survey governors, observe a meeting and draw up a clear action plan for your governing body. This will ensure your strategic leadership system is fit for purpose, fully compliant with all expectations and ready for external scrutiny.
